Excellent breakdown Rahul. The Barcelona port example highlights something critical that most edge discussions miss: connectivity is the invisible bottleneck. You can deploy edge inference at every dock crane and container scanner, but without deterministic low-latency networking -- think private 5G slicing, eSIM-based failover across carriers, and OTA-managed firmware pipelines -- those nodes are just expensive paperweights. The real edge computing revolution isn't compute, it's the orchestration layer that keeps tens of thousands of heterogeneous IoT endpoints securely connected, updated, and governed across fragmented carrier landscapes. That's where the $140B market opportunity actually lives.
